artist statement

Sof Kreidstein (they/them) is a white settler, neurodivergent, Mad, non-binary, Jewish artist based in Kjipuktuk (so-called Halifax, Nova Scotia). They are an emerging interdisciplinary artist, writer/poet, workshop facilitator, and curator. Their practice evolves through identity, community, and research based experimentation. Sof works within multiple processes of creation, destruction, and transformation to nurture spaces of growth and contemplation.Throughout the broad scope of their practice, Sof aims to reciprocate the curiosity and care that fuels them with all who engage with them and their work.
